My passion for computer and business applications can only be exceeded by my dedication to my students. In researching the newest trends in technology and business – I’m always looking for newer and better ways of accomplishing goals. The bulk of my expertise lies in artificial intelligence, expert systems and related fields. It is my hope to share this passion, knowledge, and experience with you.
I have a Master’s Degree in Computer Science with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence and Expert Systems from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a Master of Education Degree in Education, Policy Organization and Leadership with a concentration in eLearning.
Being a consultant and trainer for many years in various corporate, academic and virtual environments has added to my body of knowledge. Expectantly, this knowledge will once again be shared and expanded by our future interaction. One of my key accomplishments was piloting a Bachelor of Science degree program in Software Engineering known as “one program – one project” where all courses in the program revolved around one comprehensive real-world simulated project. Consequently, not only do I have a sound knowledge of computer science, and computer systems including real-world experience in implementation and use, but also experience in teaching, learning theories, and curriculum development for the corporate, academic, and virtual environments.

I am fluent in many programming languages and software suites. I have been a Project Manager for various projects, as well as, team member. My consulting experience has kept me abreast of the current technology in the professional and academic world most crucial for the technology professional today. In addition to being a computer consultant. I have also been involved in much curriculum design, implementation and facilitation in the traditional classroom, distance learning, online learning and corporate environment.

Artificial Intelligence has afforded me the inclusion of beneficial AI strategies in the online classroom and learning management systems as well as learning analytics and big data. Furthermore. I piloted a revolutionary online program known as “one program – one project”,

I have been a Research Project Manager for a Faculty Research Group on Diversity. I am a member of STEM. I am on the Advisory Board at Cengage Publishing (Course Technology Series). I have been involved in a Leadership Circle and participated in an executive meeting with Mikhail Gorbachev, member of Education Nation attending the town hall meeting for Chicago educators on NBC News and part of an Executive Panel discussion with Chicago Mayor, Rahm Emmanuel. I have presented at Technology Conferences on On-Line Assessment, Multimedia in the Online Classroom and Adult Online Learning Training Techniques. I have been a member of various committees such as: Academic Affairs, District-Wide CIS Focus Group, Service Learning, College Assessment Techniques, Distance Learning and Faculty Handbook.  I was a Department Coordinator for the Internet and Networking Courses. I facilitated and conducted administration, faculty and staff workshops. I have been instrumental in getting IAI course number approvals. I facilitated the standardization of testing for the City Colleges of Chicago Distance Learning curriculum.

I have a passion for computers and educating, but when I am not engrossed in researching the latest technologies, I like to spend time with my family, travel, play piano, and cook.
